About the role
- Lead technical architecture and design of scalable backend systems, ensuring software quality, performance, and reliability
- Define and implement best practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and comprehensive observability solutions across projects
- Design, implement, monitor and optimize system health through metrics, performance tracking, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering team members, conducting code reviews and fostering professional growth
- Collaborate with other team members to define technical solutions, perform proof of concepts, technical analysis and support decision-making processes
- Develop reusable tools and components for horizontal use across applications while enhancing team unity and engineering culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a senior/staff role
- Backend Development: Expert-level proficiency in Node.js or .NET with deep understanding of framework internals, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Cloud Platforms: Solid experience with cloud management and services (Azure, AWS, or preferably Google Cloud)
- Observability: Proven expertise implementing comprehensive observability solutions including monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and alerting systems
- CI/CD Pipelines: Solid expertise in pipeline design, optimization, and automation for improved deployment efficiency
- Architecture Design: Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems, microservices, serverless, and scalable backend architectures
- Mentorship: Solid expertise and track record of successfully mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Strong knowledge of Software Engineering design patterns and system architecture principles
- Experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and normalized data optimization
- Familiarity with container technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices
- You master the definition and implementation of software development best practices, ensuring code quality and maintainability
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- You feel comfortable and enjoy working in agile and dynamic environments, adapting to changes and actively contributing to planning
- You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with the technical team and other stakeholders. English is mandatory, Spanish a big plus.
