About the role
- MarTech Backend Developer to strengthen Marketing Technology & AdTech team, focused on backend engineering for campaign attribution, tracking, data flows, and ad platform integrations.
- Collaborate with performance marketers, analysts, and product teams to ensure accurate campaign measurement, reliable data pipelines, and scalable infrastructure.
- Occasionally handle frontend tasks (tracking scripts, basic landing page support, A/B test setup).
- Backend / Infrastructure: Design and maintain server-to-server integrations with ad networks (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat).
- Backend / Infrastructure: Build APIs and middleware for event ingestion and delivery.
- Backend / Infrastructure: Develop and maintain data pipelines (API/CSV → SQL/NoSQL databases → warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
- Backend / Infrastructure: Implement serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, or equivalent).
- Backend / Infrastructure: Ensure monitoring, QA, and debugging of discrepancies between internal data and ad platforms.
- Backend / Infrastructure: Work with Git, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Vercel / Netlify).
- Attribution & Tracking: Implement attribution models (GA4, Appsflyer, Adjust, or custom server-side).
- Attribution & Tracking: Manage event deduplication, postbacks, and tracking flows.
- Attribution & Tracking: Integrate and troubleshoot tracking scripts (Meta Pixel, GTM, TikTok Pixel).
- Frontend: Support and maintain basic landing pages (responsive layout, UTMs, CRO testing).
- Frontend: Add and debug tracking/analytics scripts.
Requirements
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Proven experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and API integrations.
- Experience with serverless environments (AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of attribution/tracking mechanisms (pixels, UTMs, ID-based matching).
- Ability to build/maintain data pipelines (API/CSV → database).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Appsflyer, Adjust, Branch (MMPs).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with ad platform APIs (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js) or CSS libraries (Tailwind, SCSS).
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of marketing automation/CDPs (Segment, HubSpot, RudderStack).
- Nice-to-have: Awareness of privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
- Soft skills: Clear communicator able to work with non-technical stakeholders.
