Environmental Health System QA Analyst – Public Health

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for environmental health applications
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps to reproduce
- Verify that solutions work correctly across different scenarios and edge cases
- Test environmental health workflows including inspections, permits, complaints, and reporting
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes
- Bring your public health perspective to testing, anticipating how real users will interact with the system
- Participate in requirements reviews to identify potential issues early
- Contribute to improving QA processes and testing standards
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years working for a governmental public health agency (local, state, federal, or tribal)
- Experience with environmental health programs (inspections, permitting, complaints, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to clearly document issues and communicate findings
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Comfort working with AI tools and technology platforms
