About the role

  • Group-wide development and management of IT governance with a particular focus on public cloud and modern data centers
  • Establishment of unified, flexible governance models aligning global standards with local requirements and leveraging synergies between parent and subsidiary companies
  • Operationalization of regulatory IT requirements into effective governance models and acting as a driver for the further development of the bank's regulatory framework (e.g., DORA), taking into account digital trends (M365, Azure), business impact, and location strategies
  • Feasibility assessment of new requirements in line with IT strategy (e.g., FIDA) and balancing technology vs. regulation in close cooperation with stakeholders
  • Management of complex, group-wide regulatory and/or governance topics with high relevance to management, providing strategic foresight and solution competence (e.g., further development of the IT-related internal control system)
  • Preparation of risk analyses and management-ready decision papers, as well as strengthening the compliance culture through awareness measures and training

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent further qualification
  • More than five years of relevant professional experience in IT governance and IT regulation at financial institutions or regulated environments
  • Proven experience leading group-wide change projects
  • Deep understanding of IT processes, IT risks and overall bank management (including MaRisk AT 7.2 / IT risk management)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in public cloud and modern data center environments
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, in particular DORA, MaRisk, ISO 27001, GDPR, CRA (Cyber Resilience Act), EU AI Act, together with experience in operationalizing these requirements in an understandable way
  • Identifying and implementing the needs of internal customers while considering all requirements
  • Independent evaluation of complex issues and solution-oriented handling using appropriate methods, also in cross-cutting contexts
  • Negotiation-level language proficiency: German C1; English B2/C1
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to argue appropriately for the audience and to assert decisions up to management level.
