About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Procure and enable market data and research tools for the firm
- Manage the lifecycle of market data agreements
- Optimize existing tools, content, and vendor relationships for the business
- Manage global market data subscriptions and specialty product needs
- Cultivate strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Evaluate emerging data products and AI-enabled platform features for Financial Advisory workflows
- Assess licensing implications and product suitability
- Identify and remediate risk issues with legal, compliance, and technology teams
- Ensure data licenses are fit for use
- Participate in budgeting, allocation, and forecasting processes
- Partner directly with bankers and coordinate stakeholders and support teams
- Negotiate new and existing vendor contracts
- Identify savings opportunities
- Support regular business reviews to ensure operational continuity
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 4 years of work experience managing market data, external content, or online database portfolios in a financial services environment
- Experience with FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, PitchBook, or similar core financial data platforms
- Awareness of AI-powered features embedded across major data platforms
- Ability to assess licensing and use-case implications of AI-powered features
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work promptly with minimal oversight
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence complex vendor conversations internally and externally
- Working knowledge of data governance principles, entitlements management, and licensing compliance in an investment banking or advisory context
- Familiarity with cross-border licensing requirements applicable to European operations
- Ability to partner with bankers, internal stakeholders, support teams, and external vendors
