About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors.
  • Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software preferably Allen Bradley controllers
  • Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Install and troubleshoot a variety of photo-eyes and proxies.
  • Perform maintenance, installation, and preventative maintenance on all production and facilities equipment.
  • Program and setup variable frequency drives
  • Setup remote access 24/7 to be able to access to control logic system in the plant.
  • Coordinate efforts with management, production, quality, maintenance, and other personnel to effectively utilize all equipment and processes and work toward continuous process improvement.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to obtain needed parts, equipment, and technical knowledge.
  • Maintain company objectives and departmental budgets.
  • Assist production personnel to changeover production equipment and maximize production efficiency as dictated by production schedules.
  • Train other maintenance and production personnel to safely, effectively, and efficiently use production, and facilities equipment.
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years minimum experience in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment with automated equipment required
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, manlift, and basic power tools.
  • Must have basic math abilities to calculate times, speeds, temperatures, etc.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC equipment is required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Accessible for remote access 24/7 to be able to access control logic system in the plant.
