Psych Therapist
Larkin Health SystemPsychotherapist role providing evidence-based mental health care to diverse clients nationwide. Assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychological challenges in collaboration with teams.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical interviews to understand clients' mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or other appropriate approaches
- Provide ongoing psychotherapy sessions, monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care and support for clients
- Stay current with developments in psychotherapy techniques and mental health research to enhance clinical practice
- Participate in supervision, training, and professional development activities to maintain licensure and improve therapeutic skills.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field
- Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, or groups
- Strong knowledge of ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in mental health practice
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively
- Preferred: Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, veterans, or individuals with substance use disorders
- Preferred: Training or certification in specialized therapeutic approaches (e.g., EMDR, DBT, trauma-informed care)
- Preferred: Bilingual abilities or experience working with multicultural populations
- Preferred: Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy services
- Preferred: Additional certifications or continuing education in mental health specialties.
