About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical interviews to understand clients' mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or other appropriate approaches
  • Provide ongoing psychotherapy sessions, monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care and support for clients
  • Stay current with developments in psychotherapy techniques and mental health research to enhance clinical practice
  • Participate in supervision, training, and professional development activities to maintain licensure and improve therapeutic skills.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, or groups
  • Strong knowledge of ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in mental health practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively
  • Preferred: Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, veterans, or individuals with substance use disorders
  • Preferred: Training or certification in specialized therapeutic approaches (e.g., EMDR, DBT, trauma-informed care)
  • Preferred: Bilingual abilities or experience working with multicultural populations
  • Preferred: Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy services
  • Preferred: Additional certifications or continuing education in mental health specialties.
