About the role
- Provide one-on-one Latin language lessons to a beginner student
- Deliver 1-hour sessions once per week for a total of 15 hours
- Teach online and/or face-to-face depending on availability and proximity
- Hold lessons scheduled Mondays/Tuesdays 3:30–7:30 pm or weekends 10 am–5 pm (Ontario, Canada time)
- Prepare tailored lessons based on the student’s motivation (love of Roman history)
- Coordinate schedule and availability with the student and Language Trainers
- Work freelance part-time, negotiate hourly rate based on qualifications and experience
Requirements
- Be a native Latin speaker OR hold a teaching degree
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter
- Appropriate teaching qualifications (native-speaker level or teaching qualification)
- Valid working visa (we are not able to sponsor visas)
- Live up to 20 miles from the client’s location
- Available to teach once per week on Mondays or Tuesdays between 3:30 and 7:30 pm or weekends between 10 am and 5 pm (Ontario, Canada time)
- Able to teach face-to-face in the location mentioned if required
- Ability to start as soon as possible
