About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review engineering design tasks for an engineering office
including the appearance of all CAD drawings and general quality assurance and quality control
Apply knowledge to translate conceptual designs into engineering designs
Serve as the expert on technical projects such as utility design
Assist the Survey department with legal descriptions and exhibits
Create GIS base mapping
Maintain plotting equipment
Trains users and provide expert-level technical support for engineering technologies and custom software
Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s policies and procedures
Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or demonstrated equivalent knowledge
10+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills with the ability to design land development plans from concept through completion
Knowledge of local, county, and state land use processes and regulations
water management district regulations is a plus
Proficient in site, stormwater management, storm conveyance, grading, calculations, utility design and erosion and sediment control design
Strong commitment to customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
