About the role
- Geometric designs of highways, freeways, and local roads using national and local codes
- Concept layout and preliminary design of roads
- Preparation of construction plans
- Preparation of Traffic Signalization drawings and plans
- Design of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements
- Design of roadway drainage networks and preparation of stormwater management plans
- Construction specifications review and estimating of costs and quantities
- Preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans (MPT)
- Use engineering equipment and design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guidesign, AutoTURN, etc.) to prepare engineering and design documents
- Complete ADA inspections of constructed facilities
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-3 years of work-related experience
- EIT certification or working towards Florida PE preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing
