About the role

Own the strategy and roadmap for core connectivity services including Direct Connect, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Load Balancers.
Lead the evolution of InfiniBand (HDR/NDR), RoCE/RDMA, and low-latency Ethernet features to optimize distributed training and inference at scale.
Build private, reliable, and secure networking for enterprise and hybrid environments — from subnets and routing to NAT, peering, and global traffic management.
Drive encryption in transit, DDoS mitigation, observability, and enterprise compliance across all networking offerings.
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and solutions teams to launch customer-ready services; engage customers and benchmark against hyperscalers.
Shape services that connect customers securely and efficiently to Lambda and enable distributed training across thousands of GPUs.
Ensure the reliability and performance needed for enterprise adoption; act as a principal-level technical and strategic leader across Lambda’s cloud platform.

10-12+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on networking or cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience owning networking services (Direct Connect, VPC, Load Balancers) in a cloud, hyperscaler, or large-scale infrastructure environment.
Deep understanding of HPC/AI networking, including InfiniBand, RDMA/RoCE, and high-performance Ethernet.
Strong technical fluency; able to collaborate directly with engineers and architects on design, tradeoffs, and performance.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate networking capabilities into customer value.
Track record of launching and scaling customer-facing networking products with measurable adoption and reliability outcomes.
Ability and willingness to work out of San Francisco/San Jose/Seattle office 4 days per week (Lambda’s designated work from home day is Tuesday).

Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking at scale.
Nice to have: Familiarity with SmartNICs, DPUs, or advanced offload technologies.
Nice to have: Background in AI or HPC workload optimization and distributed systems.
Nice to have: Exposure to storage networking (e.g., NVMe-oF over RDMA).
