About the role

  • Oversee procurement, management, and support of network circuits to ensure seamless connectivity and reliable performance
  • Support business operations within the Data Center Infrastructure organization and manage a wide range of tasks to support organizational goals
  • Lead RFQ process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and determine circuit solutions
  • Manage end-to-end procurement: vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation of contracts, and ensuring timely delivery and installation
  • Oversee and drive multiple supplier service delivery initiatives simultaneously with strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and internal performance metrics; review network circuit uptime and proactively identify SLA breaches and obtain credits
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for provisioning workflows
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline provisioning and reduce delivery timelines
  • Develop and implement comprehensive circuit procurement strategies to optimize usage and cost
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot escalated circuit-related problems
  • Review and approve supplier invoices ensuring accuracy and timely approval; track supplier issues, drive resolution and report
  • Work closely with cloud service providers to establish and maintain reliable interconnectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud interconnect solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices
  • Lead contract negotiations with circuit providers and maintain strong vendor relationships; conduct regular vendor evaluations and provide feedback

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business operations and network circuit procurement, management, provisioning and support, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment
  • Experience managing budgets and cost optimization for network circuitry equipment and services
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills to drive favorable contract terms and pricing
  • Strong knowledge of cloud interconnect solutions and their implementation, including direct connect, VPN, and ExpressRoute
  • Solid understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and experience in monitoring and enforcing SLA compliance
  • Knowledge of completing sales order forms (from local networking suppliers)
  • Understanding of provisioning of network bandwidth for IP transit, fiber, and wavelength service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve network circuit-related issues
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network circuitry orders, inventory, cross-connects, maintenance activities, and performance metrics
  • Ability to generate reports and provide analysis for management or troubleshooting purposes
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business) and 3 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or 7+ years equivalent experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior network engineers to gather technical requirements
  • Ability to hold your own in negotiations and build strong supplier relationships
  • Agile, detail-oriented, self-starter able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • (Nice to have) Proficiency in network performance deployment, monitoring, performance, and configuration tools
