About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage individual study quotation preparation processes and timelines
  • Prepare quotations using the company’s pricing tools
  • Obtain third-party vendor quotes from partner companies
  • Participate in strategy calls and budget review calls
  • Recommend desirable proposals based on financial and operational criteria
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve quotation quality and timeliness
  • Follow up with Business Development Directors to ensure proposals are complete and meet needs
  • Assist with Business Development presentations
  • Update the CRM database and maintain departmental information accuracy
  • Act as an expert resource for internal and external customers
  • Participate in Proposal Management initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, business, or a marketing-related discipline
  • 3–5 years of customer service or related experience
  • Experience in a contract research and/or research setting preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the listed education and experience
  • Ability to perform calculations and manage budgets
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to clinical-trial budget management
  • Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and clinical research protocols
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to present information and respond to colleagues’ and clients’ questions
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for learning new database software quickly
  • Salesforce and SharePoint experience preferred
