About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare quotations for protocols, bid requests, study revisions, and additions using company pricing tools
- Complete budget-to-actual reconciliations at predetermined points during awarded studies
- Assist with recommendations on desirable proposals using financial and operational criteria
- Coordinate with Business Development Directors to ensure clinical study quotes address client needs
- Coordinate and facilitate quotation generation with staff and partner laboratories
- Assist with proposal tracking
- Update Salesforce and maintain accurate departmental information
- Manage low- to medium-complexity opportunities when required by the business unit or team
- Shadow or assist senior colleagues on medium- to high-complexity opportunities when required
- Participate in Business Operations departmental initiatives
- Assist with departmental reports
- Provide backup assistance for other departmental functions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in science, business, or marketing-related discipline
- At least 1 year of experience within a pharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare environment
- Experience in a proposals role or very similar preferred
- Ability to perform calculations and manage budgets
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to clinical trial budget management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Aptitude for learning new database software quickly
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and clinical research protocols
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from colleagues and clients
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
- Salesforce and SharePoint experience preferred
- Prolonged sitting and computer work
- Effective communication via phone, video, and email
- Minimal travel
