About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Prepare and post journal entries and ensure timely and accurate period close activities
  • Balance accounts and maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
  • Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules
  • Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Monitor and develop monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects or business units
  • Investigate and resolve accounting variances and data discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams to support audits, controls, and financial reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working in core accounting functions such as general ledger, journal entries, or financial close
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and reconciliations
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify variances or issues
  • Experience using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow defined accounting controls and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience supporting month end or year-end close activities (preferred)
  • Exposure to audit support or internal control processes (preferred)
  • Experience working in a large or matrixed organization (preferred)
