About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own, run, and grow a targeted portfolio of insurance accounts
- Inherit a small portfolio with existing paperwork and base-level traction, then grow it into significant revenue relationships
- Open new doors within existing accounts and identify and convert net-new opportunities
- Prioritize clients with immediate AI transformation needs and mission-critical modernization agendas
- Support identification, pursuit, and conversion of pipeline opportunities
- Manage scoping, fee negotiation, and risk across engagements
- Build and maintain relationships with client CXOs and senior executives
- Lead C-level client interactions and consulting initiatives
- Deliver high-quality outcomes alongside senior stakeholders
- Drive client satisfaction measured by Net Promoter Score and secure client references
- Drive signings, revenue targets, and backlog growth
- Manage margin expectations and sustained profitability
- Achieve individual and team utilization targets while maintaining delivery excellence
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through complex consulting engagements
- Shape Kyndryl’s strategic initiatives using insurance and technology expertise
- Develop thought leadership, intellectual capital, and external market eminence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven, repeatable track record of owning, growing, and expanding accounts from a small base into significant revenue relationships
- Demonstrated ability to operate in white space, building relationships and pipeline in developing markets
- Experience in a hunter-farmer hybrid capacity with measurable outcomes in account expansion and new logo development
- Comfort engaging at the CXO level with credibility and gravitas
- Ability to advise on business strategy and technology transformation
- Familiarity with AI-driven transformation use cases and ability to articulate their value to insurance executives
- Existing market relationships with target accounts
- Deep expertise in the Specialty Insurance market
- Strong understanding of specialty underwriting, broker-driven distribution, and tailored policy structures
- Proven ability to build pipeline and close deals across carriers, MGAs, and brokers
- Strong understanding of insurance core platforms, including Guidewire, Duck Creek, and Majesco
- Established relationships across Specialty carriers, brokers, and MGAs in the Midwest and/or Northeast
- Recognized as a sales leader and trusted advisor in AI-driven insurance transformation
- P&C experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Life Insurance and broker ecosystems is beneficial
