About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate succession data, readiness data, and risk flags into leadership bench strategy
  • Recommend acceleration, development, talent moves, or executive hiring actions
  • Identify leadership gaps, flight risks, fragile bench areas, and single points of failure
  • Stress-test succession plans and challenge readiness assumptions and timelines
  • Partner with Executive Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruiting on workforce planning and critical leadership searches
  • Evaluate internal bench strength against external market availability
  • Manage cadence of talent brokering and connections with Executive Talent Acquisition and Executive Compensation
  • Support complex leadership situations, including executive underperformance, fractured leadership teams, critical vacancies, M&A, and restructuring
  • Design bespoke interventions such as targeted coaching, interim leadership structures, and team effectiveness diagnostics
  • Shape HR recommendations and points of view for high-stakes decisions with business leaders
  • Facilitate talent calibration or review sessions
  • Prepare executive- and Board-level materials and talking points

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years in HR/talent
  • At least 4–5 years specifically in executive talent management, organizational effectiveness, or leadership strategy at a large, complex organization
  • Experience supporting or advising on high-stakes leadership decisions involving senior executives (SVP+)
  • Ability to critically evaluate succession plans and convert them into strategic bench narratives
  • Comfort operating without a script or established playbook
  • Strong executive presence and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare materials and talking points suitable for CHRO- or Board-level review
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region talent initiatives
  • Experience facilitating talent calibration or review sessions
  • Ability to partner effectively with a process owner without duplicating work or deferring to it
  • Global or matrixed organization experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with workforce analytics or HR reporting tools preferred
  • Background in organizational development or workforce planning preferred
