About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and resolve functional SAP MM incidents involving purchasing, procurement, master data, inventory, goods receipts, valuation, and logistics movements
- Handle functional requests and minor enhancements aligned with Procure-to-Pay processes
- Monitor and validate data flows between SAP MM and external systems using IDocs/EDI, RFC, and OData/APIs
- Manage tickets according to priority, impact, and SLAs while communicating with business users, BPOs, and technical teams
- Act as the functional reference for the Procure-to-Pay process
- Review and validate SAP MM functional configurations, including calculation schemas, account determination, movement types, account assignment categories, and purchasing documents
- Validate P2P process flow integrity, including FI/CO integration
- Analyze end-to-end functional impacts, identify root causes and operational risks, and document findings and solutions
- Collaborate with ABAP, integration, Basis/infrastructure, and other SAP module teams
- Translate operational needs into functional requirements and follow actions through resolution
- Maintain SAP MM configuration, operating procedure, KED/KBA, and AMS support documentation
- Prepare materials for audits, change controls, and IT reviews
- Participate in SIT/UAT, design and execute functional test cases, coordinate deployments and cutover, and support post-release stabilization
- Support regression testing
- Identify and propose Procure-to-Pay and SAP MM improvements to reduce incidents, improve efficiency, traceability, control, and SLA compliance
- Contribute to the evolution of the AMS service from a process- and business-oriented perspective
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience providing SAP functional support within an AMS model
- 3+ years of experience focused on SAP MM and Procure-to-Pay processes
- Experience in ECC and/or S/4HANA environments
- Solid understanding of operational and logistics processes from a business (BPO) perspective
- Basic English required; intermediate level desirable for documentation review and user interaction
- Knowledge of IDocs/EDI, RFC, OData/APIs
- SAP MM configuration knowledge, including calculation schemas, account determination, movement types, account assignment categories, and purchasing documents
- Understanding of FI/CO integration
- Experience coordinating with ABAP, PO/CPI, Basis/infrastructure, FI/CO, LE, WM/EWM, and PP teams
- Experience with SIT/UAT, functional test cases, regression testing, deployments, cutover, and hypercare
