About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate the HR workstream for acquisitions, divestitures, and service outsourcing transactions
  • Advise business leaders and functional stakeholders on deal strategy from an HR perspective
  • Define people impacts and solutions, and provide input to business cases, risk assessments, deal valuation, contractual needs, integration planning, and contracting
  • Lead HR deliverables across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll, ELR, HR Services, and Workday throughout the deal cycle
  • Conduct due diligence and translate client requirements into executable HR integration solutions
  • Ensure HR readiness for client transitions, including co-determination, onboarding, and compliance
  • Identify and manage people-related risks and support cultural and operational transitions
  • Create solutions to address integration challenges and gaps in the short and long term
  • Align timelines, processes, and communications across stakeholders
  • Evaluate key personnel and retention needs
  • Oversee employee communications for employees becoming Kyndryls through transactions
  • Support leadership alignment and organizational change management
  • Continuously improve the operating model and update/reimagine the formal HR M&A playbook
  • Manage a team of HR Business Development professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10+ years in HR roles
  • Exposure to core HR processes including benefits, compensation, payroll, and employee relations
  • Growth mindset and change-agent capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex, high-profile projects simultaneously under tight timelines
  • Executive presence with excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills
  • Ability to simplify complex matters into clear options and recommendations
  • Business acumen and understanding of how HR considerations impact deal dynamics and business performance
  • Strong understanding of HR operating models and global employment practices
  • Depth of experience working with multiple countries
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and global teams

  • Experience with Workday, HR analytics, and project-management tools
  • Proven subject-matter expertise in HRBD work, including due diligence, prioritizing quantifiable items for valuation and contracting, and proposing integration solutions

  • Experience leading M&A at a global public company preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
