About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support and development across SAP modules
Analyze, correct, and enhance ABAP programs, function modules, interfaces, forms, user exits, enhancements, and custom objects
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve AMS incidents related to ABAP developments
Assess technical requests for impact, feasibility, effort, and standards alignment
Maintain and enhance reports, interfaces, forms, batch jobs, and OData services
Review technical dependencies and compatibility across SAP components
Participate in SIT/UAT and technical testing cycles
Conduct code reviews, performance validation, consistency checks, and technical validations
Prepare technical evidence and document testing results
Collaborate with functional analysts and PI/PO, Basis, DBA, and integration teams
Support releases, maintenance windows, and post-release stabilization
Document technical specifications, diagrams, process flows, dependencies, and evidence
Maintain the technical repository and comply with versioning, transport, and change-control procedures
Identify improvements in code quality, performance, integrations, and technical processes
Contribute to standardization, automation, refactoring, and operational improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Knowledge of ABAP Core and ABAP OO
Experience with ALV, classic and modern reports
Knowledge of RFC, BAPI, BADI, user exits, and enhancements framework
Knowledge of batch input/call transaction and batch jobs/background processing
Experience with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAPScript
Knowledge of IDocs, APIs, and OData services; APIs/OData preferred
Familiarity with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI integration scenarios preferred
Proficiency with SAP tools including SE80, SE38, SE37, SE24, SE11, SE41, SE93, ST22, SM37, SM36, WE02/WE05, and SE16/SE16H
Advanced debugging skills
Performance tuning and optimization skills
Basic SQL and data structure knowledge
Understanding of organizational development standards
Familiarity with ITIL practices and AMS operating models
SAP ABAP certification or SAP Learning Hub training preferred
ITIL certification preferred
Experience maintaining SAP production environments
Implementation, rollout, or stabilization project experience preferred
Retail environment experience and familiarity with Palacio de Hierro operational procedures preferred
