About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support and development across SAP modules
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve ABAP-related incidents
Assess and handle technical requests for impact, feasibility, effort, and standards alignment
Adjust, correct, enhance, and maintain ABAP reports, interfaces, function modules, forms, enhancements, batch jobs, and OData services
Review technical dependencies and compatibility across SAP components
Participate in SIT/UAT and technical testing cycles
Conduct code reviews, performance validation, consistency checks, and technical validations
Prepare technical evidence and document testing results
Collaborate with functional analysts and PI/PO, Basis, DBA, and integration teams
Support releases, maintenance windows, and post-release stabilization
Communicate requirements with key users and IT teams
Document technical specifications, diagrams, process flows, dependencies, and evidence
Maintain the technical repository and comply with versioning, transport, and change-control procedures
Identify improvements in code quality, performance, integrations, and technical processes
Propose refactoring, standardization, automation, and operational improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in ABAP Core and ABAP Object-Oriented programming
Development and maintenance of classic and modern ALV reports
Experience with RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and the Enhancement Framework
Knowledge of Batch Input and CALL TRANSACTION techniques
Development and support of SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAPScript
Experience designing, monitoring, and troubleshooting batch jobs and background processing
Solid experience with IDocs, including structure, processing, monitoring, and debugging
Knowledge of SAP integration concepts and connectivity scenarios
Strong hands-on experience with SAP development and support tools, including SE80, SE38, SE37, SE24, SE11, SE41, SE93, ST22, SM37, SM36, WE02/WE05, and SE16/SE16H
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Availability for maintenance windows and after-hours support when required
Ongoing interaction with global and cross-functional teams
Preferred: experience exposing or consuming APIs/OData services
Preferred: familiarity with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI integration scenarios
Preferred: advanced debugging skills
Preferred: performance tuning and optimization experience
Preferred: basic SQL knowledge and SAP data structures
Preferred: familiarity with organizational development standards
Preferred: knowledge of ITIL practices and AMS operating models
