About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across platforms and services
- Manage systems data for clients and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance
- Oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians
- Recommend modernization options and cultivate relationships with teams and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 13–16 years of experience managing and supporting IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments
- Advanced expertise in DB2 for i and performance tuning
- Strong proficiency with iDoctor, Plan Cache, SQL Performance Monitor, Collection Services
- Solid understanding of IBM i security concepts, journaling, BRMS, and backup/recovery strategies
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex performance bottlenecks
- Knowledge of encryption standards, security administration, and regulatory compliance requirements
