About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms
  • Build and optimize data solutions on cloud environments (primarily Azure)
  • Implement and manage data governance and cataloging solutions
  • Work with structured and unstructured data across SQL and NoSQL systems
  • Develop infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and DevOps
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, including SOLID principles and design patterns
  • Participate in CI/CD processes and DevOps workflows
  • Write unit tests and ensure code quality using modern testing frameworks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong programming skills in object-oriented programming (Python preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services (storage, networking, IAM, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB is a plus)
  • Knowledge of data governance practices (e.g., Unity Catalog)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development practices
  • Strong grasp of software design principles (SOLID, design patterns)
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as pytest and mocking tools
