About the role

  • Architect and implement integration solutions using IBM MQ, REST APIs, and event-driven patterns
  • Lead application migration efforts from legacy platforms to cloud-native environments
  • Design and document integration flows, message schemas, and middleware configurations
  • Collaborate with application, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability
  • Define and enforce integration standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks
  • Evaluate and recommend tools for messaging, transformation, and orchestration
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and optimize message throughput and reliability
  • Support DevOps teams in CI/CD pipeline integration for messaging components
  • Mentor developers and junior architects on integration best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture
  • Hands-on expertise with IBM MQ (configuration, clustering, security, monitoring)
  • Strong understanding of application migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid integration models
  • Proficiency in messaging protocols (JMS, AMQP), API design, and service-oriented architecture
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, data lakes, and real-time streaming (Kafka, Azure Event Hub)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
