About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services
- Create high-level and low-level designs, identify Azure services, and produce architecture diagrams
- Configure Azure services, deploy applications, and integrate systems
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
- Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and cross-functional teams
- Implement security controls, perform vulnerability assessments, and create compliance documentation
- Design and build self-service Azure capabilities for internal DevOps teams
- Develop reusable platform products, automation, templates, APIs, and integration patterns
- Improve developer experience by making Azure services easier, safer, and faster to consume
- Embed security, compliance, policy, identity, networking, and governance controls into platform capabilities
- Operate platform services with a focus on reliability, observability, supportability, and continuous improvement
- Engage consuming DevOps teams to understand adoption barriers, gather feedback, and improve APS products
- Collaborate with Azure platform teams across FSCP to deliver consistent enterprise-scale cloud capabilities
- Contribute to modernization of platform engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automation
- Continuously learn and improve Azure skills through training and certification programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Core Azure services, including AKS, Azure VM, Azure networks, Azure Monitor, Azure AD and IAM, Azure SQL, and Databricks
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale landing zones following Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework
- Experience with Terraform, ARM, BICEP, and PowerShell
- Demonstrated experience with Azure policies
- Strong expertise with Azure Pipelines using YAML
- Automation and development mindset; prior development experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in Azure engineering or a related field
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AZ-104, AZ-400, and AZ-204 are preferred
- CKA/CKAD or Terraform Associate certification is a plus
