About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a range of valuation advisory services specifically to the alternative investment community
- Designing financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses
- Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
- Assisting team with interviewing clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
- Working with management with building and maintaining client relationships
- Reporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports
- Attending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBA
- Within 2 years of valuation-related work experience in financial services
- Knowledge of private equity industry preferred
- CFA (or Level 2 or Level 3 candidate) preferred
- Ability to construct and review financial models such as discounted cash flow, comparable company models and option pricing models etc.
- Good understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to details
- Ability to multitask and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
- Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
- Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
