About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide a range of valuation advisory services specifically to the alternative investment community
Designing financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses
Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
Assisting team with interviewing clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
Working with management with building and maintaining client relationships
Reporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports
Attending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBA
Within 2 years of valuation-related work experience in financial services
Knowledge of private equity industry preferred
CFA (or Level 2 or Level 3 candidate) preferred
Ability to construct and review financial models such as discounted cash flow, comparable company models and option pricing models etc.
Good understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to details
Ability to multitask and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
