About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a day-to-day People advisor to managers and employees across Southeast Asia and Australia, providing timely and practical guidance on HR policies, employee matters, performance processes, promotion governance, and consistent decision-making.
- Support managers in applying Kroll’s pay-for-performance philosophy, performance management approach, and People processes in a fair, consistent, and commercially appropriate way.
- Partner with global People Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to support the regional implementation of People processes, frameworks, programs, and governance.
- Support and coordinate key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, internal mobility, role changes, transitions, and exits, ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience.
- Manage employee relations matters with sound judgment, partnering with senior People leaders, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders where appropriate to mitigate risk and achieve fair outcomes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and local market practices across the region, applying this knowledge to day-to-day People support.
- Contribute to a high-quality employee experience through responsive support, clear communication, and consistent execution of People processes.
- Use data and insights to identify trends, support decision-making, and contribute to practical recommendations for the business.
- Participate in regional and global Human Capital projects and initiatives, bringing local insight and supporting effective implementation across Southeast Asia and Australia.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering or HR generalist experience in a multinational, matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting managers and employees across multiple markets, preferably within Southeast Asia and/or Australia.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a degree in Human Resources, Human Capital, Business, Psychology, or a related field would be preferred.
- Experience in professional services, financial services, consulting, or another fast-paced client-service environment would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of core HR processes, including performance management, employee relations, compensation processes, promotions, employee lifecycle activity, and policy application.
- Sound judgment and the ability to balance employee considerations, business impact, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with managers, employees, regional stakeholders, and global People colleagues.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through across multiple countries and stakeholder groups.
- Confidence to offer constructive challenge, escalate appropriately, and support recommendations with data, insight, and practical reasoning.
- Comfort using data and insights to identify trends, guide decisions, and measure the impact of People initiatives.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience using HR systems and reporting tools is preferred.
