About the role
- Perform research and analyze financial information to help company make well informed commercial decisions, conduct research, and monitor financial movements.
- Prepare and analyze trial balances and various accounting schedules, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Transfer trial balance data to the Income Statement (IS) and Balance Sheet (BS); support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports/analysis.
- Update/Input data into various financial models/templates as per guidelines set by BUs/Clients.
- Conduct broad analysis of income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, ratios, segment performance; proactively highlight exceptions or variations.
- Ensure minimum >99% quality on work processed and complete quality-checked documents (v2s) within 24-48hrs or as per TAT.
- Meet timeliness expectations as stated by the business and raise queries timely with TLs for quick resolution.
- Contribute process-related ideas to reduce time or provide cost benefits and participate in pilot runs to determine cycle times.
- Participate in training sessions/walk-through calls and team huddles; assist in process documentation and creation of SOP and checklist.
- Ensure adherence to Kroll policies, procedures and protocols and proactively support key initiatives and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in BAF, BFM, B. Com, BMS, BBI, BBA, etc.) or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management.
- MBA or MMS from an accredited college or university.
- Progress towards CFA certification is highly desirable.
- Between 0 - 2 years of related experience as a research analyst.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts; preferred background/exposure in financial reporting, financial modeling, preparing trial balances and various accounting schedules.
