About the role
- Sole responsibility for managing the product assortment
- Development of private-label brands, including overseeing product design and supplier/manufacturer sourcing
- Management of national and international suppliers
- Preparation and conduct of price and terms negotiations
- Planning marketing activities for product promotion
- Planning and responsibility for merchandise displays in the retail stores
- Market and competitor monitoring as well as performance analyses
- Leadership responsibility for own team
Requirements
- Degree in business administration or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in purchasing/procurement
- Strong sense for current trends and developments
- Quick comprehension and very strong analytical skills
- Assertiveness, confident appearance, and strong communication skills
- Native-level German and business-fluent English
- Willingness to travel
