About the role
- Monitor the Regulatory Horizon: Actively track and analyze regulatory developments.
- Conduct Impact Assessments: Perform detailed analysis of regulatory changes.
- Translate Regulation into Requirements: Lead the process of gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Liaise with Technology Teams: Serve as a key subject matter expert for development teams.
- Synthesize & Communicate: Produce clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Perform data-driven analysis to model the potential impact of regulatory changes.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Legal, Compliance, Front Office, Technology, and Operations.
- Manage Regulatory Change: Contribute to the regulatory change management lifecycle.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the institutional financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of major global derivatives trade reporting regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR).
- Proven experience gathering and writing business requirements, functional specifications, or user stories.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a high proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel.
- A solid understanding of relational databases and the ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with modern data and workflow management platforms such as Airtable, Databricks, and Jira.
- Direct experience in a regulatory intelligence, regulatory change management, or compliance advisory role with a technology focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
