About the role
- Overall responsibility for the company’s strategic and operational procurement
- Lead, develop and motivate the procurement team
- Supplier management: selection, evaluation, development and consolidation of suppliers
- Contract management: negotiation, conclusion and maintenance of framework agreements as well as ensuring contract compliance
- Cost and value optimization across the entire procurement chain
- Process optimization and digitalization of procurement processes
- Management of restructuring and change processes in procurement
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Production, Logistics, Controlling, R&D and Management
- Analysis of procurement markets, risk management and ensuring supply security
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, ideally in a leadership role
- Proven experience in people management and in building or further developing procurement teams
- Very good SAP skills as well as solid IT skills (Microsoft Office, analysis and reporting tools)
- Experience in restructuring and transformation projects within procurement
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Confident negotiation skills, assertiveness and excellent communication skills
- Structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working
