About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in new product development projects (KBD) and product improvement projects (PIP), including design, testing, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to clarify technical requirements, manage product changes, and support resolution of engineering-related issues.
  • Analyze customer requirements and support the definition of technical solutions aligned with product specifications and project objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of product systems and assemblies, including coordination of components, subassemblies, and related interfaces.
  • Perform design activities at component and finished product level according to customer requirements and automotive industry standards.
  • Prepare technical analyses using engineering guidelines, calculations, simulations, and laboratory test results to verify product requirements.
  • Support product feasibility assessments and identification of potential technical risks together with the project team and customer.
  • Support material selection and definition of design solutions for developed products.
  • Prepare and update DFMEA documentation.
  • Support cost calculations for new products and validation activities.
  • Prepare and execute validation plans according to project timelines and product development processes.
  • Perform technical calculations related to product performance, including fluid flow, pressure, torque, resonance, and other functional parameters.
  • Design components according to customer technical specifications and create/update 2D and 3D engineering documentation.
  • Support prototype build activities and evaluate prototypes against functional requirements.
  • Participate in VAVE activities focused on cost optimization, product standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform activities related to IMDS (International Material Data System).
  • Follow quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements applicable within the plant.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in product design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with DFMEA and engineering validation processes.
  • Knowledge of plastic and/or metal materials.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
  • ERP knowledge; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High level of English, spoken and written.
