About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults in the Mental Health IOP program
  • Lead Mental Health IOP groups and facilitate individual and family sessions
  • Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management
  • Design and deliver psychoeducational and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, PRP, and fellow therapists to provide integrated mental health care
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning
  • Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and external providers
  • Support excellent patient care measured through retention, attendance, and successful program completion
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Comfortable working in a remote capacity
  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment
  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Active independent licensure as LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, or LGPC in the State of Maryland
  • Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
  • Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth
  • Comfortable working with both adolescents and adults is ideal
  • EMDR experience is preferred
