About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults in the Mental Health IOP program
- Lead Mental Health IOP groups and facilitate individual and family sessions
- Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management
- Design and deliver psychoeducational and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, PRP, and fellow therapists to provide integrated mental health care
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning
- Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and external providers
- Support excellent patient care measured through retention, attendance, and successful program completion
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely
Requirements
What you’ll need- Comfortable working in a remote capacity
- Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Active independent licensure as LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, or LGPC in the State of Maryland
- Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
- Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth
- Comfortable working with both adolescents and adults is ideal
- EMDR experience is preferred
