About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults in the Mental Health IOP program
Lead Mental Health IOP groups and facilitate individual and family sessions
Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management
Design and deliver psychoeducational and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, PRP, and fellow therapists to provide integrated mental health care
Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning
Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and external providers
Support excellent patient care measured through retention, attendance, and successful program completion
Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely

Requirements

What you’ll need

Comfortable working in a remote capacity
Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment
Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
Active independent licensure as LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, or LGPC in the State of Maryland
Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth
Comfortable working with both adolescents and adults is ideal
EMDR experience is preferred
