We are seeking a Tax Credit Specialist with expertise in Research & Development (R&D) tax credits to join our growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of performing and completing credit studies, preparing documentation, and delivering final client work products with limited supervision.
You will work closely with audit and tax leaders, directly support client engagements, and participate in strategic tax planning initiatives.
Perform and complete credit studies (including R&D credits) with supporting documentation and client deliverables.
Demonstrate advanced technical skills and proficiency in advising clients on federal and state tax credits.
Ensure client service assignments are completed within budget and deadlines.
Delegate, supervise, and review tax research projects for accuracy and efficiency.
Actively participate in client meetings and planning discussions.
Collaborate with audit and tax partners, directors, and managers to support larger client engagements with credit calculations and documentation.
Requirements
2+ years of public accounting experience, with progressive involvement in federal and state R&D tax credits.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience (mentoring or directing tax staff).
CPA license (active or in process).
Commitment to professional development with at least 40 hours of continuing education annually.
Strong organizational, research, and client service skills.
