About the role
- Handle employment, wage-and-hour, and consumer class and representative actions
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and legal briefs
- Conduct written and oral discovery and assist with deposition preparation and strategy
- Appear for hearings, conferences, and motion arguments (virtually and in person as needed)
- Support case strategy, legal research, and analysis related to class certification, dispositive motions, and settlement
- Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation lifecycle
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across offices to manage deadlines and case workflows
- Travel occasionally within Colorado or to other jurisdictions for hearings, mediations, or depositions
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in California or Washington (CA or WA Bar required)
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience, including discovery and motion practice
- Demonstrated stable employment history (average tenure of ~2 years per role)
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a remote work environment
- Must reside in Colorado and be comfortable with occasional travel
- Experience with employment law, wage-and-hour claims, class actions, or complex litigation (preferred)
- Prior deposition experience (preferred)
