About the role
- Leadership of operational staff across multiple sites (approximately 10–40 employees per site working in 3 shifts)
- Hiring decisions in consultation with senior management
- Coordination of operational processes
- Continuous performance monitoring and achievement of targets
- Telephone and in-person customer advising regarding services and pricing
- Coordination of collections/disposals in consultation with dispatch and material-flow management
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and EU social regulations
- Monitoring and forwarding insurance claims to the insurance department
- Ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules (vehicles, equipment)
- Maintaining the operations log
- Ensuring the correct handling and storage of waste materials in accordance with the Waste Disposal Ordinance
- Travel 3–5 days per week, depending on site responsibility
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in the waste management or logistics industry with substantial leadership responsibility preferred
- Confident and strong negotiation skills
- High assertiveness and strong interpersonal and social skills
- High flexibility and exceptional commitment
