About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Measure fleet performance and discover opportunities to optimize equipment availability and throughput
- Capture and document insights, analysis, actions, reasoning, and lessons learned
- Recommend analytical features and craft data science models for technology and process challenges at the local fab level
- Ensure semiconductor equipment fleets meet commitments for availability, throughput, and consistency
- Ensure data pipelines between process control tools and the analytical platform work as expected
- Conduct statistical analysis of tool data and component performance to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues
- Monitor tool behavior and data to identify excursions, anomalies, and deviations
- Collaborate with partners on root cause analysis
- Assess tool fleet availability and performance and measure throughput
- Ensure consistent tool performance and configurations across the fleet
- Engage internal and external partners, local teams, and customers in a dynamic matrix organization
- Assess feedback and recommend features to improve the analytical platform, tool performance, and user experience
- Stay current with process control tools and industry trends and propose innovative solutions
- Streamline feature requests using design for excellence principles
- Use Linux and command-line operations for tool configuration and data analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex tool-related issues
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate analysis and identification of excursions or outliers
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of semiconductor process control methodologies
- Ability to interpret, develop, and modify Shell and Python scripts
- Experience with semiconductor-industry analytical tools such as JMP and SQL
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, process control methodologies, and equipment technologies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability working in the semiconductor industry, including process control, lithography, or fab equipment management
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line operations
- Master's degree with 0 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience
