Handling federal tax administrative proceedings before CARF and the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal).
Drafting and reviewing petitions, administrative appeals, and memoranda.
Attending to Federal Revenue audits and inspections.
Delivering oral arguments and handling hearings and procedural rulings at CARF.
Managing deadlines and a portfolio of cases.
Participating in audits, reviewing reports, and monitoring follow-up actions.
Performing and coordinating legal work of varying levels of complexity.
Conducting strategic document analysis with recommendations on critical issues.
Leading internal and external client meetings, including meetings conducted in English.
Leading a team: delegating tasks, mentoring, reviewing work, and developing junior professionals.
Managing time records and ensuring work aligns with contracted fee agreements.
Participating in institutional initiatives to improve processes and department planning.
Supporting client development strategies, identifying opportunities, and preparing commercial proposals.
Requirements
Law degree.
OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) registration, admitted in 2016 or 2017.
Specialization in Tax Law (postgraduate or LL.M. preferred).
Experience with federal administrative tax litigation (CARF).
Experience in tax advisory/consulting.
Experience participating in audits, delivering oral arguments and hearings at CARF, and handling Federal Revenue inspections.
Experience managing teams and organizing deadlines and tasks.
Knowledge of accounting is a plus.
Advanced English (verbal and written).
