About the role
- Perform manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web and mobile platforms;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements, user stories, and technical documentation;
- Execute in-sprint testing, including exploratory testing and verification of acceptance criteria;
- Conduct UAT support, ensuring business requirements are met and assisting stakeholders during testing phases;
- Perform regression testing across core application flows and previously impacted areas;
- Run and validate platinum journeys to ensure mission-critical workflows are not disrupted;
- Carry out sanity and smoke tests after new builds to confirm readiness for further QA or production deployment;
- Assess build quality and provide go/no-go feedback on production readiness;
- Identify, document, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, including working closely with developers and Product Owners to triage, prioritize, and resolve issues;
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement sessions, and retrospectives;
- Contribute to test data preparation and environment readiness as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer working in Agile environments;
- Solid experience with test design techniques, writing clear and concise test cases, and maintaining documentation;
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies;
- Experience in UAT, in-sprint functional testing, and regression testing;
- Prior experience working with financial applications, with a strong understanding of the importance of data integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance;
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking;
- Proven experience working closely with developers, POs, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and defects;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA);
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
