About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and file U.S. patent applications, including provisional , non-provisional, continuations, CIPs, and PCT applications
- Convert provisional applications into non-provisional filings
- Respond to Office Actions; conduct examiner interviews
- Prepare pre-appeal briefs, appeal briefs, and reply briefs
- Handle PCT prosecution tasks, including Article 19 and Article 34 amendments (Chapter II responses)
- Coordinate with and instruct foreign counsel on Office Action responses
Requirements
What you’ll need- JD and active license to practice law in state of corresponding KTS office
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
- Demonstrated experience in patent prosecution
- Strong technical background (e.g., CS, CE, EE, Physics)
