About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and lead research and analysis related to Medicare policy
  • Maintain active knowledge of the Medicare program to inform policy discussions
  • Provide timely, fact-based, policy-relevant data for policymakers, the media, and the public
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of Medicare and the key issues and agencies
  • Graduate degree (master’s or PhD) in health economics, health policy, public policy, public administration, business, or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the government or health care/health sector industry, research, or consulting roles
  • Fluency and familiarity with health care data analysis, research methods, and statistical and economic concepts
  • Ability to interpret and clearly communicate data analysis and research findings for non-technical audiences
  • Experience analyzing survey data, claims data, and/or other administrative data sources using R and/or SAS
  • Highly organized, detail oriented,
  • Strong communication skills
