About the role
- Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, and related technologies
- Work directly with clients on invention disclosures, drafting strategy, and prosecution decisions
- Develop practical patent strategies and contribute to portfolio development
- Interpret and apply patent laws, USPTO guidance, and evolving best practices
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on quality control and workflow improvement
- Manage deadlines and contribute to efficient docket execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field
- Registration to practice before the USPTO (attorney or agent)
- Experience drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications
- 1–3 years of experience drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications (preferred)
- Experience with U.S. patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, or related subject matter (preferred)
- Familiarity with technologies such as analog circuitry, digital logic, processor architectures, semiconductor design, power electronics, or embedded systems (preferred)
