About the role

  • Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, and related technologies
  • Work directly with clients on invention disclosures, drafting strategy, and prosecution decisions
  • Develop practical patent strategies and contribute to portfolio development
  • Interpret and apply patent laws, USPTO guidance, and evolving best practices
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on quality control and workflow improvement
  • Manage deadlines and contribute to efficient docket execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO (attorney or agent)
  • Experience drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications
  • 1–3 years of experience drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications (preferred)
  • Experience with U.S. patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, or related subject matter (preferred)
  • Familiarity with technologies such as analog circuitry, digital logic, processor architectures, semiconductor design, power electronics, or embedded systems (preferred)
