About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help individuals with activities of daily living (examples: personal care, meals, and medication, outings and shopping trips)
Take part in activities and trips to places like the zoo, the beach, sporting events, and others to help integrate into the community
Support the individual by helping with communication and self-expression
General housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
Help look for fun activities or ways for individuals to join in community activities
Support employment endeavors and career dreams
Complete paperwork for incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, medical visit forms, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need

One (1) year of experience in supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, preferred
Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (from last 12 months)
Willingness to transport individuals (for some roles, in personal vehicle)
Clear criminal record, background checks and drug test by state requirements
Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English
Strong Communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
