About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, design, execute, and control accessibility tests for web and mobile applications, focusing on compliance with WCAG (2.1/2.2) and eMag guidelines.
- Define and implement accessibility testing strategies aligned with quality objectives and client requirements.
- Conduct accessibility audits of interfaces, identifying barriers for users with visual, motor, hearing, and cognitive disabilities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of mobile applications by applying accessibility best practices in code (Android/iOS).
- Develop and maintain automated accessibility test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document nonconformities, prepare technical reports, and track the remediation of identified defects.
- Support development teams in implementing accessible components from early stages (shift-left).
- Actively participate in acceptance testing with user managers and business stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops, mentoring, and guidance on digital accessibility and testing best practices.
- Define and monitor accessibility metrics to produce corporate reports.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base of accessibility issues and solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Technology and/or postgraduate degree in Technology.
- Solid experience with digital accessibility testing and deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 (levels A, AA, and AAA).
- Practical experience with accessibility evaluation tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, WAVE).
- Knowledge and experience with mobile development (Android and/or iOS) — Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, or similar.
- Ability to read, analyze, and write code focused on mobile accessibility.
- Experience planning and executing functional and non-functional tests.
- Experience with test automation tools and continuous integration (CI/CD).
- Analytical skills to identify, document, and track accessibility defects.
- Knowledge of the eMag standard (Accessibility Model for Electronic Government).
- Experience in banking or financial environments, especially in digital channels.
- Familiarity with accessibility certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS — IAAP).
- Experience conducting tests with real users with disabilities.
- Experience acting as a technical reference, mentor, or facilitator of accessibility best practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices applied to quality.
