About the role

  • Plan, design, and execute manual tests on web applications (functional scenarios, cross-browser, regression, and exploratory testing).
  • Develop, maintain, and run automated test suites using Playwright (JavaScript).
  • Integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) and generate execution reports.
  • Write and review test cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.
  • Report and track defects in tools like Jira, ensuring proper triage and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Operations, developers, and other teams to define scope and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to quality practices: risk-based testing, test coverage, API testing, and environment/data strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mid-level QA focused on web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferably with JavaScript).
  • Experience with API automation (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
  • Experience with version control (Git), GitLab, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with defect and test management tools (e.g., Jira, qTest, or similar).
  • Ability to write clear test cases, reproduce bugs, and communicate results objectively.
  • Agile mindset, collaborative and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with basic performance testing.
  • Intermediate to advanced English and/or Spanish.
