About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage environmental remediation, reclamation, demolition, civil earthworks, and pipeline-related projects.
  • Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, scopes, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the bidding process. Work as a part of a team to collect and compile needed technical information as well as general KBL info.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor project performance related to safety, cost, schedule, productivity, profitability, and QA/QC.
  • Manage project costs, forecasting, documentation, progress billings, and change management.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and client deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–10 years of Project Management experience related to General Construction, Mining, Environmental Remediation/Reclamation, Earthworks, Demolition, or Oil & Gas Construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management.
  • Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or a related program is an asset.
  • Experience managing projects in remote or northern environments is a definite asset.
  • Strong estimating experience is considered a major asset.
  • Technical writing experience, including reports and project documentation, is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel a definite asset.
