About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the proper collection, labeling, storage, and transport of samples
- Follow CLIA guidelines for patient identification
- Obtain proper samples by performing venipuncture and/or fingerstick
- Maintain proper labeling and documentation of all samples
- Observe safety protocols while collecting samples
- Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA Standards
- Maintain daily tallies of collections performed
- Inform Phlebotomy Supervisor of any significant shifts in collection volumes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certificate (proof of certification required upon hire)
- Computer and technology proficient
- Must maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record
