About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform installation, integration, calibration, and operational checkout of airborne sensor systems and associated electronic hardware
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic subsystems including power distribution, signal conditioning, data acquisition hardware, and communication interfaces
  • Maintain and track sensor equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and maintenance logs in accordance with program documentation requirements
  • Support pre-mission and post-mission equipment inspections and readiness assessments
  • Interface with scientists, engineers, and government personnel to coordinate sensor configuration and data collection operations
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance manuals, and technical documentation for electronic systems
  • Conduct bench-level diagnostics using standard test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Support ground and airborne data acquisition and real-time data monitoring activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Associates degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent military technical training (e.g., MOS/AFSC in electronics, avionics, or communications)
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems
  • Proficiency with bench test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers
  • Experience with analog and digital signal processing, sensor interfaces, and data acquisition hardware
  • Familiarity with cabling, connector fabrication, and printed circuit board (PCB)-level troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting systems integration in field or airborne environments
  • Strong record-keeping and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to travel to support operational missions as necessary (minimal travel)
