About the role

  • Serve as the lead functional and finance subject-matter expert for Elite 3E.
  • Define the strategic vision for 3E platform optimization, migrations, and long-term roadmap development.
  • Advise stakeholders on out-of-the-box capabilities vs. custom solutions, ensuring best-practice design.
  • Lead discovery workshops and facilitate alignment between finance leadership, IT, and technical teams.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Oversee configuration, reporting structures, integrations, and data flows across the 3E ecosystem.
  • Drive process improvement across billing, matter lifecycle, budgeting, timekeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Provide senior oversight of system design, requirements definition, solution quality, and project governance.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor.
  • Mentor analysts and junior team members; provide leadership to cross-functional project teams.
  • Guide testing strategy, adoption planning, deployment readiness, and post-launch stabilization efforts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of law firm finance or financial systems experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of deep hands-on Elite 3E experience across financial modules, reporting, and administration.
  • Advanced understanding of 3E data structures, workflow design, reporting templates, and financial processes.
  • Strong SQL skills for reporting, data validation, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to define systems strategy, lead migrations, and drive major ERP transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of law firm finance best practices and the end-to-end matter lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive decision-making, and manage cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Experience explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders.
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and comfort working independently.
  • Prior consulting or advisory experience preferred.
  • Experience leading full Elite 3E migrations, upgrades, or major process redesigns.
  • Understanding of integrations between 3E and related platforms (finance, billing, time, reporting).
