About the role
- Help build and maintain the user interface of our applications
- Write, test, and maintain UI code that meets engineering and design standards
- Deliver simple, high-quality solutions for assigned work items
- Implement accessible, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces with guidance
- Support usability, accessibility, and compatibility standards across applications
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA to understand requirements and deliver outcomes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and pull request processes
- Manage dependencies of your own work and contribute to team deliverables
- Build a working understanding of the systems and UI architecture within your area
- Stay current with front-end technologies, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality user experiences by helping ensure applications are performant, accessible, and aligned with UI standards
Requirements
- Foundational experience in front-end development such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with modern frameworks or libraries such as Vue, React, Angular, or similar
- Basic understanding of UI and web development principles including: Responsive design, Accessibility fundamentals, Browser compatibility
- Understanding of software development practices including: Version control using Git, Testing concepts and exposure to TDD, API integration and working with backend services
- Exposure to development tools such as GitHub, VS Code, Figma, Postman, and Jira
- Understanding of Agile development practices and team workflows
- Ability to execute well-defined tasks with attention to quality and detail
- Willingness to follow established processes including pull requests, code reviews, and release processes
- Ability to troubleshoot UI issues with guidance
- Attention to detail in both functionality and visual implementation
- Willingness to learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and best practices
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including design, product, and QA
- Open to feedback and continuous improvement
- Ability to communicate clearly about technical work and decisions
- Eagerness to grow your front-end skills and deepen your understanding of UI systems
- Interest in learning design systems, accessibility standards, and performance optimization
- Curiosity about new front-end technologies and trends
